What changed
The Town of Milton launched a redesigned version of its website, milton.ca, on October 7, 2026. The Town says the update changes how content is organized, displayed and accessed, to help residents, businesses and visitors find services and information faster.
- Simpler navigation, with redesigned landing pages, organized menus and clear page descriptions.
- Enhanced search to help people find information faster.
- Contact details that are easier to find, with clearer department descriptions, phone numbers and contact form links.
- More accessibility options, including adjustable contrast, text size and text spacing, and highlighted links.
- "What's on this page" links on many pages, so readers can jump straight to a section.
- Content rewritten in plain language, and standard page templates for a consistent, mobile-friendly layout.
Old links and bookmarks
The Town is encouraging residents to update bookmarked pages they saved before the relaunch. It says external search engines such as Google may take a few days to index the refreshed pages, so some search results may temporarily lead to pages that have moved or no longer exist. If a page cannot be found, the Town suggests using the website's own search or navigation menus.
The Town describes the new website as part of its commitment to invest in technology to improve the customer experience as Milton grows. Feedback on the new site can be sent through the Town's Contact Customer Experience form, linked from the Welcome to the redesigned Milton.ca page.
