What is closed
The Town of Milton says Town Hall and its administrative services will be closed on Monday, October 12, for Thanksgiving. Milton Transit will not operate that day, and regular schedules resume on Tuesday, October 13.
Halton Region's Waste Management Site, at 5400 Regional Road 25 in Milton, is closed on Thanksgiving Day, according to the Region. On other days it is open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
What is open: advance voting
Thanksgiving Monday is the first day of advance voting in Milton's municipal election. On October 12, advance polls are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; from October 13 to 15 they are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. During advance voting, voters can cast a ballot at any of the five advance locations, regardless of ward.

Garbage and recycling
The Town's Thanksgiving notice does not mention curbside collection, which is run by Halton Region. Halton's online waste collection tool shows the garbage, Green Cart, recycling, yard waste and bulk collection schedule for each address, and can send reminders by email or phone.
