The details
Which boards are recruiting
The Town of Milton is inviting residents to serve on five local boards and committees. Applications are being accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026. The Town says applications will be reviewed for Council's consideration in late 2026 or early 2027.

Each body has its own preferred qualifications. For the Committee of Adjustment and Consent, the Town lists knowledge or experience in areas such as law, planning, architecture, government, land development, environmental planning or community advocacy. For the Library Board, it prefers experience developing strategic plans and recent service on a public library or not-for-profit board. Knowledge of Ontario's Building Code Act and municipal law are listed as assets for the Property Standards Appeal Committee, and knowledge of Milton's recreation, culture, arts or sports sectors for the Community Fund Advisory Committee.
