HDSB's new Milton #13 elementary school on Trudeau Drive: 926 students, $43 million, opening fall 2028
The Halton District School Board scheduled a September 18 groundbreaking for a new three-storey elementary school at 1345 Trudeau Drive in Milton, planned for 926 students and 88 licensed child care spaces and expected to open in fall 2028.

The new school
The Halton District School Board (HDSB) announced an official groundbreaking ceremony for a new Milton elementary school, currently referred to as Milton #13 Public School, at the school site at 1345 Trudeau Drive on Friday, September 18, 2026. The board says the school is expected to open in fall 2028 and will support current and projected student enrolment growth in Milton.

The board describes the design as including an open-concept library with a rooftop terrace overlooking the neighbourhood, and natural light throughout. Trustees, senior board staff, local government officials, area residents and some of the students who will attend the school were invited to the ceremony.
Finding the site
Because the area is new, the board noted that online maps had not yet been updated to show the site, and it published its own location map with the release. The school does not yet have a permanent name.
What is not known yet
The release does not say which neighbourhoods or current schools the new school will draw students from.
