Where RLD applies

Polygons and hectares by the Town of Milton’s neighbourhood outlines, each polygon placed by a point inside it.

Wards: Ward 1 (29), Ward 2 (4), Ward 3 (2).

Exceptions, holding and other markers

The markers the layer records on RLD polygons. Their terms are written only in the by-law; each line says where.

Site-specific exception (26 polygons)
78 (×17), 129 (×5), 94, 95, 113, 212Section 2.6 says a star and a number after a zone symbol (such as *17) refers to a site-specific exception listed in Section 13.
Drawn over another polygon
2 zone polygons sit inside another polygon on the layer (the map draws one zone over another without cutting a hole). Their hectares are counted here and in the other zone; the by-law map decides which applies.

What the zone permits

The permitted uses and regulations for RLD are set out in Section 6 of Comprehensive Zoning By-law 016-2014 (HUSP Urban Area), March 2026 consolidation (PDF). MiltonIQ does not paraphrase them: an exception, a holding provision or a later amendment can change what applies to one lot. The Town of Milton’s Certificate of Occupancy (Zoning) is the Town of Milton’s own answer for a property. The interactive zoning map shows the zone on a single lot.
