Not on the ballot: the Regional Chair
Halton Region says the Better Regional Governance Act, 2026 made the Regional Chair a post the Province appoints, so it is not on this year's ballot and the Region cannot take nominations for it.
Withdrawals
The Town's page also lists five withdrawn candidates: one for mayor, one for Ward 1 town councillor, one for HDSB trustee in Wards 3 and 4, and two for HCDSB trustee in Wards 1 and 4. Certified lists can change before a vote, so the Town's page is the authority on who is running.
